Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said- India will become a 30 trillion dollar economy by 2047.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said India will become a $30 trillion economy by 2047. At the Vibrant Gujarat Summit in Gujarat, he said the country will have a 5 trillion dollar economy by 2028. Smt. Sitharaman said that in the last 23 years till 2023, there had been a foreign direct investment of 919  billion dollars in India, out of which 65 per cent of investment has come in the last nine years. Appreciating the contribution of Gujarat as the engine of development of the country, he said that Gujarat’s contribution to India’s GDP is more than 8 per cent.

 On this occasion, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said that the PM Gati Shakti initiative is emerging as a global benchmark for integrated and seamless multimodal connectivity.

Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra said that India signed four agreements with the UAE at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit. These relate to cooperation and investment in the fields of innovative health care, renewable energy, food parks and logistics.
